Exploitation/further research/dissemination plans
The overall program of the Network intends to involve researchers and doctoral students. The latter will be involved in exchanges between participating laboratories, and in yearly teaching courses that will be organized with the help of a task force of the European Society of Hypertension, that is involved as the Network Advisory Board. The yearly teaching courses will concern all types of activities of the Network (epidemiological, physiological, diagnostic assessment, genetics, genomics, proteomics), and will be open to investigators, and especially doctoral fellows from other European Institutions, aiming at creating within the time frame of the EC support a large body of young investigators capable of carrying out integrated research encompassing all consolidated and new approaches to hypertension and hypertension-related cardiovascular diseases. Meanwhile, most of the units participating in the Network will have developed closer research liaisons, common research interests, standardized methods of investigations, new ways of working together on common objectives, and much larger and more significant databases will have been assembled.
